The Ham and Cheese

We were travelling to the property, we received a call from the bar to say they stopped serving food at 8pm and would we like to order something. We as a family felt the establishment thought of us before we had even arrived. We didn't get to order however were recommended take aways and allowed to eat in the bar area with our children. The staff were so friendly and accommodating from the get go and it honestly felt a home from home. The family rooms we had were almost adjoining meaning our youngest had more space to move around and the rooms were very spacious and clean. Really warm but expected due to the time of year. The breakfast we had to pay for and had hiccups first morning but owners rectified this quickly and above expectations which we appreciated and were very grateful for. Really showed their hospitality towards us above expected. Our evening meal was beautiful and definitely worth booking advanced for. Very busy and the taste and service you can see why. Not a thing was a problem from start to end. We all thank the establishment a lot for making our stay worth while and we will visit again.

Easy to find - staff on checking in and for evening meal were really welcoming friendly and helpful. Room was very clean a great choice of things outside the room which was good as we had forgotten shampoo. Beds were very comfortable and we both had a good sleep. Breakfast was really good and they did have vegan options both for evening meal and breakfast. Would recommend and would stay again if in the area.

great staff, friendly and helpful from the start. Just like to give Tilly a special mention. We had a twin room which had everything we needed. Spacious bathroom with a great shower. Very good breakfasts. Ample parking.

It was in an ideal place for the advent we were attending. Family room had everything we needed, clean. Breakfast was included in room price very good,Food was lovely , we ate both nights,plenty choice.used by locals well, music on Saturday night and bouncy castle for younger children. All staff very friendly and helpful. Extra towels, teas, coffees, etc all left for you to help yourselves if needed, but ample already in your room.would most definitely stay here again when in the area.
